The challenge

The project required developing a full spa within a small footprint and modest budget, making intelligent zoning and phased development essential. The client also wanted to attract guests who were not typical spa users, meaning the offering had to be approachable and engaging without losing quality. Another key challenge was ensuring the spa had visibility across the hotel journey—from check-in to departure—so that all guests would be aware of and inclined to use the facilities.

Our approach

We delivered the spa in two strategic phases: Phase 1 focused on essential treatment areas, while Phase 2 introduced thermal and hydro facilities to expand the wellness journey. A marketing strategy was seamlessly integrated into the hotel’s operations, supported by clear zoning, guest signage, and communication, ensuring visibility, accessibility, and appeal to both seasoned and first-time spa users.

The outcome

Aura Spa successfully attracted non-traditional spa users, increasing guest participation, revenue, and engagement. Its phased development model provided flexibility and sustainability, while clear visibility throughout the resort ensured it became a central feature of the hotel experience despite its compact size and budget-conscious build.
